Overview
This nine-year research project develops an education-based circular construction system in which students and community members co-design, build, and evaluate sustainable timber structures that can be repeatedly assembled and disassembled. By embedding iterative prototyping and life-cycle analysis into curricula, the project advances Quality Education (SDG 4) through experiential learning that builds digital, fabrication, and systems-thinking skills. Its use of reusable vve panels and tracking of material flows illustrates Sustainable Cities and Communities (SDG 11) by demonstrating adaptable, low-impact installations in neighbourhood contexts. Strategic partnerships with community workshops and local agencies exemplify Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17) by leveraging shared expertise and resources to localize circular construction methods.
