Overview
The Sustainable Architecture Prompt (SAP) is a card-based educational tool designed to help architecture students and educators integrate the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) into design studios. By combining building types, user groups, conceptual themes, and SDG targets, the game generates rich, context-sensitive prompts that foster inclusive, sustainability-driven design thinking. Developed in response to the urgent need for local action on global challenges, the tool empowers learners to explore how architecture can articulate sustainability and support more equitable, resilient communities. SAP will be piloted in Australian studios in 2026, contributing to the SDGs Local Learning Studio’s mission by translating global goals into tangible place-based design strategies.
