The post-master’s level WiT Programme explores multisectoral collaboration as a catalyst for global sustainability and development. It bridges the capacities of universities, organisations and professionals to advance the resilience of underprivileged communities globally.

Overview

The Aalto WiT Programme is an intensive interdisciplinary post-master’s initiative developed with partner organisations and hosted by the World in Transition Research LAB (WiTLAB) at Aalto University. It brings together students from diverse geographies and disciplines to explore resilience in the context of the Global Majority and to engage in practices rooted in cultural locality, humanitarian principles, and decolonial thinking. The programme advances transformative learning in practice, promoting the inclusion of Southern and Indigenous epistemologies alongside Western frameworks. Through cross-cultural exchange and collaborative research, it empowers emerging professionals to pursue careers in the humanitarian field or engage in academic research centred on decolonised approaches.
