Medussa Conservation and Community Learning
Project Medussa is a sustainable architectural proposal integrating controlled micro-greenhouses, hydroponic systems, and community education to conserve fragile ecosystems, optimize resources, and promote environmental awareness within sensitive tropical landscapes.
Overview
Medussa Project is a regenerative initiative that preserves local biodiversity through a replicable system of micro-greenhouses, controlled microclimates, and hydroponic cultivation. It integrates efficient water use, circular resource management, and endemic species protection, aligning with SDG 4, 6, 11, 12, 13 and 15. Developed in Hoyo Claro, Punta Cana, it responds to ecosystem degradation from rapid urban growth, soil erosion, and water scarcity. Through educational modules and community participation, environmental awareness becomes hands-on learning, enabling users to cultivate and conserve within an adaptable system.
More than a single installation, Medussa functions as globally scalable environmental infrastructure for tropical regions and a replicable model for sustainable land management, environmental training, and climate-resilient design.
